How it started
Established in 2019, Vrijheid Leather Works began in Windhoek as a simple hobby, born from a passion for working with leather and creating something with our own hands.
What started small steadily grew through dedication, craftsmanship and the support of our customers, becoming a fully fledged business in April 2026.

Today, Vrijheid Leather Works is proudly based in the CBD of Windhoek, where we design and handcraft quality leather products using carefully selected Namibian materials, including genuine Namibian leather, with a purpose that goes beyond simply making a product.
Our products are made in Namibia, with Namibian materials, for Namibians — while carrying a quality and character that can proudly travel beyond our borders.

Vrijheid is a family-built business, created through the combined skills and dedication of Johan and his wife, Ina.
Together, our different skills and perspectives allow us to serve both sides of the market — from individual customers looking for something personal and distinctive, to corporate clients seeking quality, practical and proudly Namibian products.
